TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PROVISION OF INTERPRETING AND TRANSLATION
SERVICES

Simultaneous Conference
Interpreting: |

| Interpreting Team:
|
Minimum of two
interpreters per booth. One interpreter may be acceptable for a
session lasting not more than one hour. Three interpreters (petite
équipe) for fully bi-directional conferences. |
| Compensation:
|
$800.00 per day. |
| Overtime: |
Time and one-half
($150.00 per hour) applies after six (6) hours working time within
an (8) hour day. |
| Transportation:
|
Land travel (Rail and
Car) fully reimbursed. Air travel advanced or paid directly. |
| Travel Time:
|
Travel time for the
first day or fraction of the day spent on the outward and return
journeys, shall be half the stated fee for one conference day. All
additional travel days shall be payable at the full fee. |
| Equipment:
|
The quality of the
booths and/or portable equipment must be sufficient, in the
interpreters' judgment, to permit a quality performance and not
represent a health risk. A direct view of the speaker and of the
room shall be provided. Technical support shall be provided at all
times. |
| Payment: |
Payment due on
delivery of service but accepted without penalty if paid in full
up to thirty (30) days thereafter. After that a late fee of 10%
will accrue in addition to monthly interest. No third party
payments. |
| Cancellation:
|
If for any reason the
engagement is cancelled or postponed the Interpreter shall receive
full compensation in the stated amount of the fee. |

Legal Interpreting:

| Compensation:
|
Minimum $400.00
(includes up to 3 hours), thereafter $100 per hour for each
additional hour or fraction thereof. |
| Overtime: |
Time and one-half
($150.00 per hour) to apply after six (6) hours working time
within an eight (8) hour day. |
| Transportation:
|
Fully reimbursed. Air
travel advanced or paid directly. |
| Travel Time:
|
$50.00 per hour,
portal to portal, in addition to the Interpreter's compensation,
for trips outside the Interpreter's local area, New York City. |
| Meals & Lodging:
|
$70.00 per diem in
advance when applicable, lodging paid directly. |
| Payment: |
Payment due on
delivery of service but accepted without penalty if paid in full
up to thirty (30) days thereafter. After that a late fee of 10%
will accrue in addition to monthly interest. No third party
payments. |
| Cancellation:
|
If for any reason
engagements are cancelled or postponed, the Interpreter shall
receive compensation in full for the period contracted.
Engagements of not longer than one day may be cancelled with 48
hours notice (two full business days). |

Translation: |
| Rate: |
To be determined based
on individual job requirements, starting at $75.00 per hour for
translation or editing for simple layouts with normal turnaround. Please
contact me directly by telephone or email to discuss the specifics
of your project. |

otherwise agreed. |
| Payment: |
A retainer shall be
required to be determined in relation to the size of the
translation. Large translations may be divided into several
installments payable upon delivery of each installment.* No third
party payments. |
| Cancellation:
|
If for any reason an
assignment is cancelled full payment shall be made for all copy
translated as of the date of cancellation. |
|
* A late
fee of 10% will be applied in addition to monthly interest. Any claim or controversy arising under this agreement shall be
determined or adjudicated solely in the Interpreter's domicile, in
accordance with the laws of such domicile.
